We are seeking an experienced Protection & Control Engineer to play a leadership role in our T&D Design Engineering Group. Our client is an industry leader in the field of T&D Power Engineering. Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Work with the Power Delivery Group providing consulting and design for a variety of project types and clients in the utility substation sector.
Oversee protection and controls as applied to designing high voltage substations. Manage related transmission and distribution projects.
Help coordinate and supervise electrical equipment installation, power system design and studies, protective relay applications and settings, preparation of electrical equipment drawings and specifications and troubleshooting, repairs, and tests.
Assist in preparation of estimates and proposals.
Minimum
Qualifications:
5 - 15 years experience in electrical power systems for electric utility or heavy industrial market
Relay protection & control engineering including detailed design for high voltage substation and transmission projects through 500kV
Development of protection and control logic
Development of one & three line diagrams; schematics and wiring diagrams
Relay settings and calculations.
Familiarity with micro-processor / digital relays: (SEL, GE, Basler, Beckwith, ABB, Areva, etc.)
Control and relaying panel layouts and specifications
Control and relaying panel and equipment wiring diagrams
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with Power Emphasis (advanced degree preferred)
PE License or ability to obtain
Salary: DOE. Relocation assistance.
Must be authorized to work in US.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
