Description Haley & Aldrich is growing and is seeking a motivated and creative Civil CAD Designer to join our newly created CAD Engineering Design Services. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate strong AutoCAD knowledge and skills that are desired to learn and actively participate in a design environment.

Given our current size and rapid growth, candidates for our current CAD positions may expect to have two career paths to consider: they may learn and grow towards becoming one of our design engineers or may prefer to become a true CAD professional within their design arena. Experience in the civil design field is desired, but we also value entry level Civil Engineers/CAD operators who are hungry to learn and driven to prove their talent by providing results.
Requirements Our ideal candidate/s will have:
this can be filled by entry level engineers (min BS Civil or Environmental Engineers) with 0-4 years of experience or with experienced CAD operators (min Associates Degree) with 5
years experience.
demonstrated proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, and can answer basic questions from staff regarding AutoCAD functionality
an AutoCAD Associate Certification or is in the process of getting their certification
proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus
proven inclination to take initiative and provide quality results
genuine desire to grow and learn within the CAD and design arena
possess and demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of project team
work well under pressure particularly when faced with unexpected events, delays, tight timeline's or urgent demands
work independently with minimal direction in performing most routine tasks and assignments from staff/project teams and/or manager.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will:
generate plans including design calculations, rough sketches and notations that may be used to craft clear, and well-organized construction plans and details.
manage project data files including site geometry and attribute information from various sources
prioritize work both independently and with/across teams to ensure that all steps are taken to meet various project requests and deadlines to ensure that projects are delivered on time
participate/attend in-house project meetings as requested by staff/project teams
demonstrate capacity to learn new technologies
create aesthetically pleasing and useable drawings for presentations and reports
maintain and manage project files and associated documents following document standards
