Responsibilities:Woodard & Curran is hiring team members to support their growing Energy & Power service line. The perfect candidate for this position will have a solid understanding of Networking and Telecommunications services relating to Electric, Gas, and Water utilities. Experience with implementing solutions for Automated Meter Infrastructure, Distribution Automation, AC /DC power solutions, both wired and wireless network design, propagation and line of site analysis, and strong system integration skills. The Manager will also contribute to the Energy service line's sales efforts. This position is supported by Woodard & Curran's 800
people nationwide. The successful candidate will work to provide solutions to solve important communication and technology challenges.Responsibilities of this position require the Networking & Telecommunications Manager to be an expert in communications relative to Electric, Gas, and Water utilities. The prime candidate will have designed networks and communications to support SCADA, Automated Meter Infrastructure for Gas, Water, and Electric Utilities, Distribution Automation, and Volt/VAR, along with experience dealing with renewable energy sites.The candidate will show expert knowledge of: RF Propagation and desktop analysis to provide the best possible locations for wireless devices. Field survey experience to support the desktop analysis plan. Expert in designing Wireless Wide Area Networks. MPLS and Carrier Grade telecommunication links over copper, fiber, and cellular. Experience working with routers and modems provided by Cisco, DIGI, Sierra Wireless, and others. Aware of Security policies and practices like NERC/CIP and NIST. Point-to-Point Microwave design and deployment. Mesh, Point-to-Point, and Point-to-Multipoint network design and deployment. Ability to manage multiple partners and team members (for example: lineman, electricians, RF engineers, GIS team, and hardware providers). Provide project updates at weekly business unit meetings.
Qualifications: 5 years
experience with designing, deploying, and maintaining wireless network solutions for broadband providers, municipalities, and utilities. Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related 10
years of experience in the industry. Expert with propagation and wireless design tools. GIS experience with Google Earth and ESRI. Strong understanding of the applications and systems used by utilities and municipalities. Ability to work with a team of people at all levels of the organization internally and externally. Ability to use Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and Outlook to their fullest potential and to use software and applications to perform daily work efficiently. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
