Position
Summary:
Conducts a variety of laboratory procedures under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator or the PI''s designee. Assist biological and medical scientists in laboratories. Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, monitor experiments, make observations, and calculate and record results. Must be able to recognize problems or deviations in experimental conditions and notify appropriate personnel. Masters routine techniques and procedures relevant to overall goals of the lab.
Position availability is directly related to grant funding.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and work effectively.
2. Visual acuity, manual dexterity, math skills and a scientific acumen are required.
3. High school diploma, Bachelors degree preferred.
HR Use Only:Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
