Summary of Position Description
This position reports to and assumes a lead role under the Manager of Financial Systems Support in providing the Financial Systems Support across all MaineHealth organizations. The primary focus is to act as a liaison between IT and Finance in relation to Financial Software production, implementations, testing and training. This includes ensuring the financial data within the systems are accurate, synchronized, and available to users. It also includes assistance with maintaining proper security within the systems and preparing and conducting training for users.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Bachelor''s degree is Accounting or Finance, MIS or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with users, in order to determine business needs and translate them into programming specifications.
Ability to organize workload to meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively document and train users in the use of computer technology so as to achieve identified goals.
Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Five to seven years of related work experience in order to gain a full understanding of the various aspects of financial management and processes.
Strong knowledge of personal computers as well as information systems capabilities, procedures and practices.
A high level of systems analysis and problem solving skills necessary in order to develop and implement new procedures and solutions. Strong knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management, ERP and Decision Support software systems. EPIC, Lawson, StrataJazz, and EPSi experience a plus.
