Job Description :
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Machine operation including loading and unloading of parts according to standard work instructions
Visual and mechanical inspection of parts
Basic job set-up
Trouble-shooting minor equipment issues
Report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, unsafe and unusual conditions
Perform statistical process control (SPC) requirements
Assist senior operators with set-up/tooling changeovers
Assist engineers with process improvement activities
Participate in cross-training activities
Adhere to all environmental health and safety rules and regulations
Maintain quality standards
Maintain work area and equipment in accordance with 5S and Operator Maintenance Guidelines
Perform other duties as required or directed
Job Requirements :
Experience, special knowledge, capabilities,
Qualifications:
Be proficient in working with process sheets
Have knowledge of SPC requirements
Be familiar with a variety of gaging instruments and methods
Be proficient in general shop math including decimals and measurements with very close tolerances
Have good mechanical aptitude
Ability follow verbal and written direction
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
Willingness to learn
Other Skills :Job related demands (i.e. physical, travel):
oAbility to lift and move objects up to 35 lbs without assistance and
occasionally up to 50 lbs. following company safe lifting protocol
oAbility to stand for long periods of timeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
