Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Recruiting and Selection
Drives the development and execution of comprehensive hiring strategies for Field Leadership and growth-oriented (non-administrative) roles which
position
Unum to meet current and ongoing staffing requirements.
Drives the development of Field staffing plan with senior sales and client management leadership teams
Proactively track rep, client managers and field sales/client management roles to enable real time forecasting and subsequent adjustments to the staffing plans
Provides regular updates to the senior sales and client management teams regarding progress against plan as well as providing strategies to mitigate attrition
Implementation of strategies programs and tools to support SVP of Field, Managing Directors and Regional Client Managers with recruiting and selection issues.
Seeks out and acquires expertise and best practices in recruiting and selection; serve as practice leader among peers to facilitate knowledge transfer and broader, more consistent application of standards, methods, etc
Evaluation and selection of colleges, universities and other sourcing avenues (e.g., on-line) from which to source candidates and develop relationships, based on corporate business needs
Ability to quickly establish rapport and credibility with sourcing institutions as well as candidates, project a positive image of the company (e.g., Unum brand) through one's own expertise and professionalism
Development of plan for on-boarding new hires as well as training new field managers
Responsible for the development and implementation of all necessary strategies to ensure Quality of Hire in assigned accounts including ongoing monitoring and measurement.
Ensure on-going reporting and measurement against established department metrics and alignment w/Field Staffing plans. Keep Business Analysis apprised of recruiting metrics and progress against plan.
Connect to UUS and Corp HR to leverage resources; share best practices and drive consistency
Monitor and manage expenses per agreed to budget.
Recommend compensation protocols based on candidate experience and Unum guidelines
Field Leadership Development
Designs and develops the curriculum for Field Leaders; identifies and certifies program facilitators
Oversees continuity and quality of program
On boarding - oversees on boarding of participants and their managers in setting role expectations for program
Monitors and measures progress of participants & track position movement
Monitors and measures effectiveness of program and adjusts accordingly
Looks for synergy between Field programs and other development initiatives within Unum UUS and Unum Group
Creates and sustains strong partnerships with key HR partners and business leaders
Curriculum - works with HR partners to ensure curriculum quality & consistency in implementation of curriculum
May perform other duties as assigned
BA, BS, or equivalent work experience preferred
7 years or more of successful field experience

market/applicant pool and creatively addressing alternate recruiting strategies
Ability and willingness to cost effectively manage extensive travel (up to 50%) and the logistical challenges it presents

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
