Manager Disbursements-Accounts Payable

Position Summary This position is responsible for the development, direction, coordination, and execution of the accounts payable and non employee related disbursement functions for the entire MaineHealth organization.
Services are to be delivered via a shared services model, in the most accurate, timely, and cost effective manner possible; making progressive use of technology to create processing efficiencies while meeting established service level targets and quality metrics.
This position reports to the Senior Director, MaineHealth Fiscal Services.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related financial field.
Advanced educational finance degree and/or related professional certification preferred.
License/Certifications:

Experience:
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive disbursement experience with large organizations, exhibiting a strong understanding of internal controls, effective use of technology, coordination with the Supply Chain, and efficient processing operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to facilitate effective management/coordination of possible decentralized staff, and to communicate effectively with member organizations and affected stakeholders.
Ability to prepare and conduct presentations internally and externally.
Proven ability to develop strategic plans and lead assigned staff in the provision of disbursement services in accordance with established policies and standards, as well as the achievement of identified goals/objectives.
