12 an hour 13 days ago 13 days ago 13 days ago MAINTENANCE WORKER III - HOMELESS SERVICES CENTER MAINTENANCE WORKER III, HOMELESS SERVICES CENTER Health and Human Services Department - Social Services Division - Homeless Services Center - Deadline Extended - Our Social Services Division is seeking an individual to join the facilities team located at the Homeless Services Center.
The ideal team member will be a leader that takes pride in their work and values working in a new facility that was designed using best practices and modern construction with an innovative design.
The successful applicant must be comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with knowledge of building maintenance.
The facilities team works closely with shelter Staff to support individuals experiencing homelessness.
Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of building maintenance and ability to make repairs; physical strength, agility and stamina necessary to withstand exposure to adverse climatic conditions as outdoor work is done daily including snow removal during the winter months.
The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and guests of the shelter.
Additional Requirements:
Valid Maine Class B driver's license (must provide license number) or a qualified candidate may be hired as Maintenance Worker I with valid Maine Class C license and ability to obtain Class B within six (6) months.
Candidates must pass a pre-employment medical exam and fitness assessment; including a federally mandated drug test.
Candidates must have and maintain a good driving record.
Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
Labor and Trades Union position - Grade 18 - Salary range starting at $22.
12/hour.
