Maintains pleasant and effective public relations with customers and others requiring a general familiarity with postal laws, regulations, and procedures.

You must be flexible with little to no lead time or advance notice of a schedule change.
You may perform any variety of sales and customer services at a retail window such as maintaining sufficient inventory of and selling stamps, stamped paper, and other retail products and services to customers.
You may provide sales and customer service support by greeting customers, determining special interests, and referring to sales and promotional programs.
You may use a computerized system, accept and deliver packages and accountable mail, issue and cash foreign and domestic postal money orders, accept and respond to customer claims and inquiries.
You may sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
You may offer assistance in product selection, provide special assistance, and answer customer inquiries when needed.
You will maintain appearance of retail lobby by setting up, arranging, and replenishing displays and merchandise racks.
You may perform routine maintenance on Self-Service Kiosks and mobile point of sale devices, including troubleshooting.
Duties are physically demanding requiring moderate to heavy lifting, carrying, prolonged standing, walking, and reaching.
You must follow established safe work methods and procedures.
