The Longfellow Hotel, a 48-room boutique hotel, caf and spa, is seeking a thoughtful, caring, and empathetic General Manager to lead hotel operations.
Opening in early 2024, The Longfellow Hotel is already gaining recognition as one of the most highly anticipated openings in the US.
The General Manager will oversee all aspects of organizing and opening the hotel operation, including but not limited to the hiring and training of hotel management, front desk and housekeeping staff, organizing the repair and maintenance of the hotel, contributing and leading an inclusive work culture, and maximizing financial performance and guest satisfaction.
Additionally, this position will foster the culture of The Longfellow Hotel throughout the Portland business community and will require a sense of playfulness to help rethink luxury acommodations.
The General Manager position is well suited for individuals that are highly motivated, skilled in all areas of a hotel's operation including food and beverage and spa operations and want to make an impact on the hotel profession in Portland.

years of experience in the hospitality industry 3

From time to time, you will be expected to travel to venues and events outside of the Portland area, as the business demands.
The Longfellow Hotel is managed by Uncommon Hospitality, a family run hospitality company based in Portland, ME.
Longfellow Hotel will become the 4th managed property in the Uncommon portfolio which also includes The Francis Hotel (Portland), The Colonial Inn and The Admiral's Inn (both in Ogunquit).
