Job DescriptionGeneral Surgery Opportunity - Beautiful Northern MaineThe practice is designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center, providing enhanced access to health care services for all members of the community, and allowing the practice to employ providers holding H-1B and J-1 visas.
For over 20 years Health Center has provided care to a service area population numbering about 35,000 people.
Health Center has a dedicated, volunteer Board of Directors, and strong, supportive relationships with the Medical Center.
Health Center's providers are active members of the Hospital's Medical Staff.
Unlimited potential exists for a General Surgeon to join our practice here, a dynamic community that is economically, culturally, and socially inviting.
As an employee here, the successful General Surgeon will receive a competitive salary, generous benefits package, CME reimbursement, relocation assistance, and education loan repayment, if applicable.
The physician will also receive an annual allowance for licensing, DEA registration and medical journal subscriptions.

Board Certified or board eligibleAllopathic and osteopathic physicians will be considered equallyAmerican born and trained physicians and foreign-born physicians who have completed a US residency and/or fellowship will be considered equally.
H-1B and J-1 candidates can be considered.
In-practice physicians, residents or fellows, and military-trained physicians will be considered equallyIt is the most northeastern city within the United States, and has a population of approximately 9,000 people.
