Full Time78 Atlantic PlacePhysician/Physician PracticesDay Shift Position Summary The Child Psychiatrist will join the Developmental Disorders Service of Maine Behavioral Healthcare by assuming responsibility for psychiatric services in the Center For Autism and Developmental Disorders (CADD) Outpatient Clinic and Day Treatment Program.
The primary focus of this position is the treatment of children and adolescents with autism and other developmental disorders, providing effective and innovative services.
Secondary focus is resident and fellow teaching regarding this population, and research opportunities as interested.
For qualified applicants, a Medical Director opportunity is available, with a focus on program development and administrative duties.
This position is located at the Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders, an 8,000 square foot facility solely dedicated to treatment and research for the population, in South Portland, Maine.
This full-time position will be divided between approximately three-quarters time in the outpatient clinic leading a multi-disciplinary outpatient team and quarter time in the on-site multi-disciplinary day treatment program.
The incumbent will conduct all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality.
The incumbent is required to conduct all job responsibilities consistent with Maine Behavioral Healthcare policies and procedures and in compliance with all applicable laws or mandates relating to patient care and business activities.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education:

License/Certification:
Board eligible/board certified in Child Psychiatry.
Licensure in the State of Maine and Maine department of education fingerprinting required prior to start date.
Experience:
Experience in clinical treatment for the population is preferred.
Interest in teaching and clinical research preferred.
