Structural Engineer

Overview:
Our client, a well-known & established engineering consultancy firm, seeks a Structural Engineer to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate will manage people, projects, & client relationships & will perform technical design for water resources projects.
This person will have the option to work remotely or in an office.
This is a long-term, direct-hire role with our client based in the New England area.

Responsibilities:
Work on the design & management of hydroelectric & fisheries-related facilitiesIncorporate structural, civil, & hydraulic engineering skills into multidisciplinary projectsApply engineering skills from analysis & design through to constructionManage long-term client relationships & engage in business developmentManage multiple projects simultaneously as a member of multidisciplinary project teamsManage project teams that include junior and senior-level staff, project coordinators, & draftersMentor junior-level staffRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering requiredPE License requiredSE license preferred5
years of experience in structural engineering required, 8
years of experience preferredProject management experience is required, and project experience with multidisciplinary projects is highly preferredKnowledge of codes & standards applicable to structural engineering requiredMust have experience with design & analysis of concrete & steel structures, experience with design & analysis of concrete & steel structures in/around water preferredExperience with Mathcad, RISA-3D, SAP2000, & AutoCAD is highly preferredExperience with hydroelectric design, fisheries-related, &/or water resource projects preferredExperience in finite element modeling &/or seismic design preferredFamiliarity with permitting & regulatory processes preferredField experience working with stakeholders during project planning & constructionMust have experience managing project teams & be able to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to build long-term relationships with clientsWillingness & ability to mentor junior-level staffExcellent verbal & written communication skillsTravel to site visits involved (maybe 1 to 2 days:
