Psychologist/Neuropsychologist Supervisor, Pediatric Specialty Care

Summary An exciting leadership opportunity for a clinical psychologist or neuropsychologist dedicated to pediatric specialty care.
Position Summary This position is based in an active Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics program, which is part of a multi-specialty pediatric group practice at the largest medical center in the state of Maine.
The patient mix includes children from infancy through adolescence with Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, developmental and/or cognitive delays, learning disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, behavior problems, sleep disorders, encopresis, and other neurodevelopmental concerns.
The Psychologist/Neuropsychologist Supervisor is expected to dedicate 80% of their time to clinical work and 20% to supervision of licensed psychologists in the Department of Pediatrics.
The Psychologist/Neuropsychologist Supervisor is expected to perform neuropsychological or psychological assessments (depending on profession).
If interested, the psychologist may also provide specialized psychological interventions for children and adolescents.
The Psychologist or Neuropsychologist also provides clinical and administrative supervision of licensed psychologists in the Department of Pediatrics at the medical center.
This individual will be expected to actively participate in the educational mission of the hospital, which may include supervision, teaching, and consultation with psychology trainees, pediatrics residents, medical students, and other trainees.
Requirements:

Education:
Advanced skills in psychology or neuropsychology evaluation, treatment, and consultation acquired through the completion of a doctoral program accredited by the American Psychological Association, or equivalent, as recognized by the Maine Board of Examiners of Psychologists, and all required pre-doctoral, internship, and postdoctoral training.

License/Certifications:
Licensed or license eligible as a Psychologist by the Maine Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
For Neuropsychologist candidates, board certification or eligibility for certification in clinical neuropsychology by the American Board of Clinical Neurology/American Board Professional Psychology.
3.
Experience (for Neuropsychologist Candidates):
A minimum of four years of clinical experience providing neuropsychological services in a medical/clinical setting.
The equivalent of two years (full-time) of experience and specialized training, at least one of which is at the post-doctoral level, in the study and practice of clinical neuropsychology and related neurosciences.
These two years include receiving supervision from a clinical neuropsychologist.

Experience (for Psychologist Candidates):
A minimum of four years of clinical experience providing psychological services in a medical/clinical setting.

Necessary personal, professional, and interpersonal skills required to conduct psychological or neuropsychological evaluations and interventions with patients and their families, as well as to work effectively as a member of the health care team.
