Maine/New England resident preferred but not required.
The Health Training Specialist promotes, maintains, and improves individual and community health by providing health coaching to patients across the MaineHealth service area.
Working under the supervision of a Program Manager, a Health Training Specialist is responsible for delivering evidence-based programs to participants in a virtual group setting.
Health Training Specialists will be trained and responsible for the delivery of the Diabetes Prevention Program, and the Living Well suite of self-management programs, as programs expand.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education:
Bachelor's degree in health education, public health or a closely related field preferred.
License/Certifications:
Certified Health and Wellness Coach preferred but not required.
Experience:
N/A Knowledge of relevant research and practice in medical care, health education, individual behavior change, public policy and community health.
Knowledge of, and ability to use, a wide array of behavioral and communication techniques to facilitate large and small groups.
Excellent interpersonal skills and abilities to respond to diverse needs from patients, families and employees.
Ability to use both written and oral communications with a wide variety of audiences; extensive public speaking experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to collaborate with teams of individuals in diverse settings.
Highly organized, flexible, proactive and timely.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
