Your Opportunity As a Senior Airport Electrical Engineer/Manager your role as a senior contributor on our professional consulting services team is to work collaboratively on design of projects of various complexity, and as a subject matter expert providing technical advice and guidance to other team members particularly as it relates to airfield electrical design and airport navigational aids. You will actively participate in the development of proposals and marketing materials using your specialized knowledge of electrical systems, FAA and Military (UFC) airfield lighting design criteria, and industry standards. Strong leadership skills are essential for leading and mentoring others as well as collaborating with stakeholders, in the development of top tier project deliverables. Your Key Responsibilities Liaises with clients, agencies, and other stakeholders to obtain and determine project objectives, requirements, and approvals. Examines field conditions as required to support development and completion of project designs. Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance review of electrical engineering/airfield lighting engineering documents including drawings, specifications, and calculations. Acts as a subject matter expert and technical resource by providing technical advice and guidance/mentorship to other team members, including airport electrical engineers, aviation planners and construction personnel. Performs electrical engineering design tasks on various projects, including preparation and coordination of the project deliverables and documents including calculations, drawings, and specifications. Reviews own work as well as those of project team members for accuracy, and coordinates with others to ensure quality assurance and quality control for all final products. Participates in the preparation of proposals, statement of qualifications, and other marketing endeavors, including client interviews and presentations. Stays up to date on regulatory and FAA design criteria changes, and actively participates in professional organizations. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials Technical expert in all relevant areas of airport electrical design and understanding of various design methods. Advanced knowledge of airfield lighting design, NAVAIDS, Airfield Lighting Control & Management Systems, and airfield electrical infrastructure design Highly effective in building and maintaining client relationships. Thorough knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements, FAA and Military Airfield design criteria, and industry standards Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation. Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting, engage in creative and critical thought, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues and solutions to others. Demonstrated ability to work closed with aviation leadership team in support of Stante'c aviation vision and business goals/objectives. Ability to work in a typical office environment with computers and sit, stand, and walk for significant periods of time. Ability to navigate and walk on uneven terrain during field inspection or site visits and withstand exposure to normal weather conditions including inclement weather. Education and Experience Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Licensed Professional Engineer Minimum of 20 years of experience working within the airport engineering consulting field and in the preparation of design documents that comply with FAA design and Military design criteria with regard to airfield lighting and navigational aids.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
