Connecting great people to the best work is our purpose ? together, we deliver. Kleinfelder is seeking a Civil Engineer/Water Resources Project Manager in our Maine/New Hampshire Area. The position is for Portland, ME. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure planning, design, and construction projects including green infrastructure design for municipal clients throughout Southern Maine and New Hampshire. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing technical solutions to a wide range of water-related projects, and other civil infrastructure design work. Candidates must have strong technical expertise and be fully capable of providing technical leadership and direction to project teams. Candidates must possess excellent organizational, communication and technical writing skills and be able to effectively provide positive client coordination and marketing services. Core
Responsibilities:
Work with engineering staff to plan, design, and oversee general civil engineering design and water infrastructure design. Work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams that include geotechnical, water, and structural engineers as well as environmental specialists, and other disciplines. Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and other more junior engineers and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Be an integral part of our safety culture, approaching all aspects of work with a safety-first attitude. Own all aspects of project management, including the project schedule and financial status. Develop and grow business relationships that would contribute to the success of Kleinfelder. Provide senior level technical review (to include QA/QC) for select engineering analysis or design projects and programs. Candidates for this position must have:
Minimum of 10 years of experience of progressive responsibility performing general civil engineering with an emphasis in drinking water, wastewater, or storm water engineering. Experience with green infrastructure design is preferred. Demonstrated experience with permitting support, construction management and related civil engineering tasks is a plus; Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering; Current Civil P.E. registration for the States of Maine and New Hampshire or the ability to acquire within 6 months. Demonstrated capability to effectively communicate with clients, successfully generate plans and specifications, and mentor junior engineering staff. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
