Mechanical Engineering Manager needed for the South Portland, ME area. In this position, you will oversee 25
employees, focusing on business development and assisting with power and energy-related projects (calculations, reviewing, approving/stamping). BSME or BSCE, along with 12

Responsibilities for the Engineering Manager
Direct the activities of department engineering and technical staff to include resource planning and scheduling and follow up on work results.
Possess a thorough knowledge of Industry standards and Mechanical Engineering design principles.
Develop discipline specific engineering and technical standards, practices, procedures and techniques.
Recruit, train, evaluate and retain qualified staff. Mentor young staff.
Lead department sales efforts to attract new business and expand current business.
Serve as project manager or project engineer as needed.
Requirements for the Engineering Manager
A bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Professional Registration required.
A minimum of 12
years experience working in a multi-discipline, consulting engineering environment demonstrating increased levels of responsibility managing engineering staff, projects and clients.
