Spurwink's Functional Family Therapist (FFT) works within a family focused and strength-based model. Functional Family Therapy is an evidence-based, nationally recognized Blueprint family treatment model. The FFT assists with at-risk youth and their families in making incremental, positive changes that lead to enhanced family functioning and reduced risk. As a new member of our Evidence-Based Community Practices Division, you will receive a total of two weeks of paid training in the FFT model. The trainings are held at one of two locations: Denver, Colorado or New London, Connecticut. This nationally recognized training will allow you to take responsibility for engaging and motivating all family members and constructing a strength-based approach to addressing challenges.In addition, you can earn up to $2,500 each quarter in incentives as well as mileage reimbursement.
Duties:
Spurwink's Functional Family Therapists work from one of our private therapy offices. FFTs are provided a cell phone and a laptop with mobile internet connection. Additionally, you will be working with a team of therapists who are available for support and mentoring. This support and mentoring is in addition to the supervision that will be provided on regular basis. There is an equal amount of administrative work that goes along with this important therapy work. Treatment will be provided in both the office and the families' homes. This brief treatment model usually ranges in length from 8 to 30 weeks with a total of 12-14 sessions. All of this requires a willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule that includes late afternoons or evenings.
Qualifications:
LCSW, LMSW-c, LCPC, LCPC-c or LMFT; independently licensed preferred. New graduates will be considered.
