Job Profile
We''re actively recruiting for a mid-to-senior level Drupal module developer with experience working in the health care field. The ideal candidate will be comfortable developing applications and services written in a Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP environment, will be able to work within an agile development process, and be comfortable writing code in a continuous integration environment.
The main responsibilities of the web developer are as follows:
Design, develop, and maintain PHP based applications and web services.
Identify suboptimal code and refactor accordingly.
Provide unit tests and code-level documentation for all new tasks and refactors.
Actively participate in the team''s scrum and development processes.
Develop training materials and help documentation for systems that get created.
Stay abreast of best practices by researching new tools and enhancing and evolving new and existing tools.
Minimum Qualifications
4 6 years of development experience with production web applications.
Development experience within the Drupal framework (module development, Form API, Entity API).
Strong passion for Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP development stack.
Experience querying, and updating RDBMS data stores like MySQL.
Familiarity with common PHP design patterns and their implementation.
Ability to effectively use distributed source control systems such as Git.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude.
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or the equivalent in experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of web service development and consumption (SOAP, XML Feeds, ReST, etc).
Experience with release management, continuous integration, and source repository administration.
Ability to design unit tests with PHPUnit and document source with phpDocumentor.
A link to an online portfolio with examples of past work.
Familiarity with other web based technologies like Java and .Net.
Experience developing health care applications.
Familiarity writing applications that are HIPAA compliant.
Working knowledge of HL7, IHE and other healthcare integration standards.
