Portland Webworks is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Project Management and Quality Assurance team. Portland Webworks operates using Agile principles, specifically Scrum, so Project Managers can expect to the opportunity to work within self-organizing teams focused on efficiency, transparency and providing business value to our clients.
As a
Project Manager
at Portland Webworks, you can expect to:
Communicate directly with clients via timely and professional written and verbal communication
Set and manage expectations throughout the client relationship
Provide consultation and work with clients to nurture business development opportunities
Collaborate with team members to deliver estimates to clients for new project work, keeping the business development team apprised of potential and closed opportunities
Ensure contracts, purchase orders, etc. are current and accurate
Ensure scope changes are documented and billed appropriately
Resolve conflicts and project level escalations
All other duties as assigned
For some projects, a Project Manager plays the role of
ScrumMaster
and can expect to:
Facilitate the Scrum process and team self-organization
Remove obstacles and shield the team from interference
Improve team performance
Support and coach Scrum teams responsible for delivering software
Work with the Product Owner to:
Find techniques for effective product backlog management
Clearly communicate vision, goals, and product backlog itemsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
