Summary of Position Description
Principal responsibilities are assisting persons with complex disabilities to find and keep employment. Employee may serve as a member of a mental health clinical and rehabilitation team and will incorporate rehabilitation and supported employment technologies in the career development of an individual. Also serves as a liaison to businesses and may participate in organizational development activities, identifying potential members of Employer Consortium.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
1. Must be able to communicate and contribute in an interdisciplinary team setting.
2. M.A. or M.S. in Education and/or Counseling (specialty in rehabilitation and/or career counseling), or a B.A. in a related field with at least five (5) years experience in supported employment.
3. C.R.C. (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor) and/or DMH Employment Specialist Certification, or intent to obtain certification.
4. Knowledge and background: counseling theory, physical and psychological effects of psychiatric disability, socio-economic effects of psychiatric disability, occupational analysis, vocational evaluation and training, and job development. Reflected in one to two years experience.
5. Working knowledge of community, service agencies (local and state), federal agencies, financial benefit programs (SS, SSDI, Worker''s Compensation).
6. Knowledge of ADA and other employment/disability legislation; i.e. education, employment, accessibility, consumer rights, etc.
7. Must demonstrate technical writing ability specific to the rehabilitation field.
8. Must be able to complete career development plans with consumers'' and family involvement.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
